When I met Julie, my top three goals were: to have more energy, to eat breakfast, lose weight.

Julie opened my eyes to a new healthy way of living, by introducing new foods to my daily meals, as opposed to taking out – which is what most diets do.  This was a completely new way of thinking for me, shifting my mind-set into a state of abundance and choice vs deprivation and limitation. 

The biggest change I noticed was in my energy levels, as I was eating properly and did not experience fatigue half as much as I used to.  Simple recommendations, such as hot lemon and water first thing in the morning, was something I had known for years but was never able to implement into my routine. With Julie’s motivation and explanations, I was able to commit to this way of life. I also started eating breakfast and in the process lost a few unwanted Kg’s. Julie is very passionate about being a Health Coach and has a sincere, caring way about her. She was always able to understand me and support me in a non-judgmental and gentle way. I would recommend Julie to anyone who wants to take small steps into making big changes to their health.

I am so blessed to have a sister as a health coach!!

“About a year ago, I had been a vegetarian for several years and was experiencing some health problems. Julie suggested that I exclude sugar, gluten and dairy products. At that point I was eating a lot of cheese, drinking milk in my coffee (6-9 cups a day!); was a chocoholic; and could not imagine life without pizza. I decided to become a vegan and quit coffee – and after a few grueling days of caffeine withdrawal – life transformed. I am feeling the enormous differences now that I focus on eating enough fruits and vegetables daily (as I can no longer resort to cheese, chocolate and starch binges). I drink herbal tea with honey, instead of coffee with loads of milk (which really did not give me any extra energy – just tension, the jitters and bloating). I also have no sugar cravings at all, as I have a good dose of natural sugar from the fruits I eat. Julie is an endless source of information on gut health, food choices – and just listening to your body.

Detoxing the gut with leafy vegetables and pickles

“Tom, a truck driver from near Birmingham in the UK, in his forties, was overweight and suffered from extensive psoriasis, which he found embarrassing and made him very self-conscious. He said that he felt like a ‘leper’ and always covered up his arms, legs and neck, even in warm weather.

Tom tried various conventional and some unconventional therapies to clear up his skin: from Methotrexate (a powerful cancer drug inhibiting cell growth) to UV light therapy via Dead Sea Salt to Chinese Herbal concoctions. Nothing worked, in fact on more than one occasion, these therapies were worse than the condition itself.

Tom’s wife saw an article in a national newspaper that a specific hospital was offering hypnotherapy for psoriasis patients on a ‘clinical trial’ basis. At the same time, by coincidence, Tom had also met a holistic therapist who had recommended a ‘detox’ program, eating only vegetables and plant based food, together with mineral water only as a fluid intake.

The hypnotherapy was initially successful, as it not only stopped the skin itching, but convinced Tom that somehow his psoriasis was ‘invisible’. It also allowed him to find the inner strength to carry on with the difficult process of detoxing the gut with almost nothing but leafy vegetables and pickles over at least 28 days non-stop.

15 years later, Tom has kept off (most!) of the 52 pounds in weight that he eventually lost, through sensible diet, increased exercise and decreased lethargy. Although he still has some small patches of psoriasis, it is nowhere near as bad as it was back then.

Tom had a conversation with his body, which was enabled by someone who helped him to listen!”

Saying goodbye to sugar and milk

This e-mail from a previous client says it all:

“Hi Julie,

Just a short note to say thank you so much for teaching me how to listen to my body. I used to have an all-milk coffee with 3 teaspoons of sugar every morning. Yay energy?! Yea right!

I always wondered why I was feeling bloated and sluggish a few hours later. As we discussed, I just loved my milk and sugar and thought I could never go without them. After a few sessions with you I finally decided to give it a go and try to eliminate sugar and milk through your recommendation. Wow what a difference! I cannot believe how energetic I feel, and no more bloat, just by making these two small changes in my diet. I now substitute my milk with almond or coconut milk. I also add a teaspoon of coconut butter in my morning coffee, what an energy boost!
